Lookbook - Summer 2026
The timeless beauty of cut Hydrangea
Studio Cara – Ruth De Keyser
In June’s Lookbook, the cut hydrangea takes centre stage. With its abundant flower heads, soft colour palette and versatile character, it has become a staple in the floral industry and a favourite choice for summer weddings. From dreamy shades of blue to refreshing green tones, hydrangeas effortlessly combine volume, elegance and romance in a single bloom.
For this edition, Studio Cara created a contemporary wedding concept in which the hydrangea plays a different role in each design. From a sophisticated table arrangement to an elegant bridal bouquet and a sculptural ceremony installation, these three creations showcase the remarkable versatility of this flower of the month.

A bouquet full of summer romance
The second creation captures the romance of a summer wedding in an airy and elegant bridal bouquet. Soft blue Hydrangea Minerva Lavender forms the foundation, creating a sense of delicacy and refinement. Graceful Sweet Peas add movement, while Delphinium En Donna and Delphinium Plat Blue bring depth and freshness to the arrangement.
The warm tones of Phalaenopsis Asian Coral bring the bouquet to life. Their coral-coloured blooms create a striking contrast against the cool blue hydrangeas, adding a contemporary touch to the overall design. The result is a bouquet that feels both romantic and modern, perfectly suited to a stylish summer wedding.

Together, they form a contemporary table arrangement where sculptural shapes and delicate colours complement one another beautifully.
The contrast between the rounded hydrangea blooms and the clean lines of the anthuriums creates a modern aesthetic perfectly suited to a contemporary wedding setting. The soft blue tones bring a sense of calm and romance, while the peach-coloured anthuriums add warmth and sophistication. A design that immediately immerses guests in the atmosphere of a summer celebration.

Cut Hydrangea Iconic Flower, Iconic Floristry
Cut hydrangeas bring an iconic touch to bouquets and floral arrangements. Thanks to their large blooms, they are particularly well suited for event decorations. They also make the perfect starting point for a gift bouquet and create an eye-catching feature at any event.
Cut hydrangeas remain in excellent condition for a long time when the stems are able to absorb water properly. For the best results, follow these care tips: cut the stem diagonally, remove excess foliage, gently scrape approximately 5 cm from the bottom of the stem with a knife, use a clean vase, add flower food and fill the vase with hot water (around 60°C).
Even after harvest, cut hydrangeas continue to evolve. Throughout their vase life, the blooms can further develop their colours, adding even more depth, softness and character to their shades.
