Working sustainably, every day

For us, sustainability is more than a commitment, it's part of the way we work. Every day, we make conscious choices to reduce our environmental impact while maintaining the quality and service our customers expect.

Our approach is guided by a clear roadmap with measurable goals and transparent progress, helping us build a more sustainable future, one step at a time.

Reducing CO₂: our energy approach

We're actively investing in reducing our CO₂ emissions and making our energy use more sustainable. Today, 98% of our internal transport equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts, is electric. It's a conscious choice that supports our transition to a fully electric company car fleet.

At the same time, we're gradually switching to renewable electricity and working towards gas-free operations in Belgium by 2035. We actively monitor energy consumption across all our locations, ensuring every improvement is measurable and every saving counts.

No vague ambitions, just measurable progress.

Efficient logistics, from source to customer

Transport is an essential part of our operations and of our ecological footprint. That’s why we focus on making transport as efficient as possible: routes are intelligently consolidated, volumes optimized, and trips scheduled efficiently.

With our own transport network, we maintain full control over quality, freshness, and efficiency. Modern trucks and efficient cooling systems ensure that flowers and plants are transported under the right conditions, with as low an impact as possible on people and the environment.

Less packaging, more reuse

In the floriculture sector, packaging and residual waste make a significant difference. That's why we are actively working to reduce waste and increase reuse, with a clear target: a maximum of 15% residual waste by 2027.

We reduce the use of disposable materials, focus on recyclable and reusable alternatives, and manage inventory and surpluses more effectively. In Belgium, we already distinguish 22 waste streams today. An approach that makes it possible to sort, reduce, and reuse in a targeted way.

Strong partnerships with growers and suppliers

Sustainable floriculture starts at the source. That’s why we consciously choose long-term partnerships with growers and partners who share our values. By working directly and staying close to the market, we keep control over quality, origin, and methods.

Our San Remo branch is MPS-Florimark GTP certified, an internationally recognised certification for good trade practices in the floriculture sector. It reflects our commitment to quality, transparency, and responsible business processes throughout our sourcing and trading activities.

This is how we combine craftsmanship with a responsible approach.

Craftsmanship and well-being: sustainability starts with our people

Sustainability is not only about the environment, but also about people. We invest in a safe and pleasant working environment, with attention to well-being, training and personal growth. Through targeted training and knowledge sharing, we strengthen our teams and build an organisation that is ready for the future.

Because sustainability calls for craftsmanship, commitment and responsibility. From everyone, every day.

Sustainability as a shared responsibility

Sustainability is not a destination, it's an ongoing journey. Together with our customers, growers, and partners, we continue to build a floriculture sector that is stronger, smarter, and more sustainable.

Step by step, through practical solutions that make a real difference.
