About the instructor

Sören Van Laer

Sören Van Laer has been fascinated by the beauty of nature since childhood. That is why he decided to use this beautiful and inexhaustible source of materials and flowers to create floral art. After his training as a florist, he learned the tricks of the trade from master florist Geert Pattyn. His participation in the Fleur Talent project enabled him to build up a national and international network. Before corona, Sören Van Laer was mainly active as a freelance florist all over the world, giving demonstrations, taking part in competitions and working at events. When all projects were put on hold during the lockdown in March 2020, he opened a pop-up store in Bornem with Aymeric Chaouche. The second pop-up opened its doors about a year later in Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe.
