Responsibilities

You will become the first point of contact for HR within Agora Belgium and, at the same time, a true HR partner for the business. You keep your finger on the pulse, spot opportunities and ensure that HR not only supports, but also helps look ahead.

People & Business Partnering

  • You oversee the entire Employee Journey, from recruitment and onboarding to development, internal mobility and offboarding.
  • You are a point of contact and sounding board for employees and managers with HR-related questions.
  • You coach managers in performance and evaluation interviews and help take care of their planning and follow-up.
  • You support the business in change and development trajectories and help bring employees and managers along in these.
  • You are the HR SPOC for our Belgian branches in Kontich, Liège, Nivelles and Brussels.
  • You are regularly on site and visit the branches on a bi-weekly basis.

You guide onboarding and ensure a strong start for new employees, students and interns.

Talent Acquisition
You take an active role in everything related to recruitment and selection:

  • drafting, publishing and following up on job openings;
  • scheduling and conducting interviews for both permanent and temporary employees;
  • collaborating with recruitment partners and temp agencies;
  • ensuring a professional candidate experience.

HR policy & projects
You contribute to the further professionalisation of HR within Agora:

  • you help develop and implement clear, efficient HR processes, policies and procedures;
  • you conduct contract discussions and ensure correct follow-up and administration of HR documents;
  • you are the point of contact for our confidential advisers, the internal prevention adviser and the external prevention service;
  • you contribute to a wide range of HR projects, such as pay transparency, mobility budget, CSRD, social elections and other future HR initiatives;
  • you get the opportunity to help lead projects from idea to implementation.

Communication & engagement
At Agora, HR is also an important communication partner:

  • you write clear and accessible HR communications, policies and procedures;
  • you help create content for our website, the intranet and other communication channels;
  • you are the SPOC for Speakap, in collaboration with Marketing;
  • you support the organisation of HR-related incentives, events and conferences.

And because Agora is one group, you will of course work closely with your HR colleagues in the Netherlands, France and Italy. We share knowledge, align policies and learn from each other.

Skills

We’re mainly looking for someone who’s keen to get stuck in. Someone who doesn’t wait for a problem to land on their desk, but proactively spots opportunities and gets to work on them.

You recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in a generalist HR role.
  • You get energy from people, collaboration, and making an impact on the business.
  • You take initiative, drive projects forward, and come up with your own ideas and solutions.
  • You are a strong communicator and know how to inspire, persuade, and bring people along through change.
  • You’re not afraid of resistance. You know change sometimes takes time and you have the necessary patience and perseverance.
  • You are well organized, work methodically, and enjoy bringing structure and efficiency.
  • You can independently take a project from A to Z: from concept and preparation to concrete implementation.
  • You have thorough knowledge of Belgian social legislation and keep a close eye on changes.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch, French, and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are familiar with MS Office and can work smoothly with HR systems.
  • You are flexible and can easily switch gears when the organization’s needs change.
  • You are assertive, critical, and dare to question things.
  • You have a positive, pragmatic mindset and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • You’re a true team player and feel at home in an environment where collaboration and entrepreneurship matter.

Experience with Comp & Ben is a plus, but not a must. Analytical insight is a nice-to-have.
